AO support for surgeons in Ukraine

The AO condemns the invasion of Ukraine and supports our Ukrainian surgeons and operating room personnel (ORP). The war is a violation of human rights, and against the core values of our community.
In order to support Ukrainian surgeons and ORP to take the best care possible of their patients, we continue to offer the knowledge of our expert faculty and their experience in the form of webinars, videos, handbooks (management of limb injuries and early rehabilitation), and online surgeon support groups on myAO.
Our network is working tirelessly to make these emergency educational resources as accessible as possible for surgeons in Ukraine; we are in the process of translating five austere environment videos from English to Ukrainian, and Ukrainian translations of our Management of Limb Injuries and Early Rehabilitation handbooks are currently underway.
We hope for a swift and peaceful outcome to this current situation and express our solidarity and support for all the people of Ukraine and for all those who have been adversely affected by this war.
