Today, AO Clinical Investigation and Documentation (AO CID) leads the AO's work in clinical studies and clinical evidence. In 2018, AO Clinical Investigation and Documentation ran 66 studies in 37 countries, and enrolled about 1,100 new patients, resulting in a total of 4,500 patients in the monitoring phase.
