Redesigned Faculty Support Packages now available

AO Education Institute is pleased to share the redesigned Faculty Support Packages (FSP), created to make it easier for chairpersons and faculty to prepare, deliver, and support competency-based AO educational events.

Each FSP brings together the key resources needed for a competency-based course, such as curriculum documents, prepared lectures, small group discussion cases, practical exercise materials, video links, and faculty guidance.

A more intuitive way to search and explore

The redesigned FSP experience has been created to improve access, reduce time spent searching for materials, and support a more consistent way of working across events. Faculty and Education Event teams will now see clearer topic areas, improved descriptions, preview options, and direct links to the relevant resources.

How to access the Faculty Support Packages

To access the Faculty Support Packages, go to www.aofoundation.org and log in. From the relevant clinical specialty page, head to the Education menu, and under Faculty select Faculty Resource Center. From there, choose the relevant course or topic and click Access material to view the available resources.

The FSPs were originally introduced to provide chairpersons and faculty with a comprehensive set of resources to support course planning, preparation, and delivery. Today, the redesigned FSPs offer a more modern, search-led experience that reflects how to find, use, and explore digital assets.

This evolution supports AO’s continued commitment to innovation, usability, and global faculty support. It also recognizes the value of the educational materials themselves. The curriculum, cases, lectures, and teaching resources available through the FSPs have been developed by many AO surgeons and educators over several years and are made available to chairpersons and faculty worldwide.
