AO Trauma North America
AO North America (AO NA) is an independent, non-profit, regional affiliate of the AO Foundation. It is dedicated to the advancement of patient care in orthopedic, hand, craniomaxillofacial, spine, and veterinary surgery by building and expanding the AO in North America.
AO Trauma history of North America
In 2008, the AO Foundation Board of Directors created AO Trauma. They recognized the need for clinical divisions to have their own identity, based on the unique market dynamics of their respective areas of expertise.
Since then, AO Trauma has grown into a global community of best-in-class trauma and orthopedic surgeons and researchers. It continues to focus on its strengths: education, fellowship, research, and community development.
