Call for applications: AO Trauma Europe and Southern Africa Mini Grants

Apply before January 15, 2025
Mini Grants

AO Trauma Europe and Southern Africa is excited to announce the launch of our mini-research grants.

The mini grants are designed to provide independent seed funding of up to CHF 15,000 for a maximum of two years to support innovative projects in the field of musculoskeletal trauma.

The mini grants come after the 2023 decision from the AO Foundation Board to reorganize funding among regions to provide better and more equitable support to a wider range of interested young surgeons to pursue research, a vital component of AO Trauma.

To better evaluate incoming project proposals from a diverse set of applicants, the AO TESA Board also established a regional research committee, consisting of representatives from various sections and geographical clusters within the AO TESA region. This committee is tasked with developing a sustainable research strategy and project proposal evaluation framework. This ensures that their expertise is leveraged in a meaningful way and that the selection process for mini grant winners is collaborative and fair. Find out more about the TESA Research Committee here.
