High praise from faculty
Pedro Jorba, chief of pediatric orthopedics at Legaria Children’s Hospital in Mexico City, Mexico, enthusiastically recommended AO In-Hospital.
“AO In-Hospital events are an excellent option to deliver high-quality education for residents,” he said. “Participants and faculty always enjoy these activities very much, as they allow education to take place in their own hospital.”
Dr Ayesha Saeed, AO Trauma Middle East and Northern Africa chairperson elect and a consultant orthopedic surgeon at Indus University Hospital in Karachi, Pakistan, called AO In-Hospital education “an essential element of resident training.”
“The unique thing about AO In Hospital module is the quality content from AO Education Institute with real life scenarios for maximum benefit of young surgeons,” Saeed said. “Our experience with ‘Management of elbow fractures in children" in Indus University Hospital was unique with an element of hands-on pinning on saw-bone models that greatly enhanced the overall experience.”
Dr Richard Glaab of Kantonsspital Aarau (Switzerland) confirmed the value of AO In-Hospital for organizers, educators, and participants.
"As organizers and educators, our AO In-Hospital experience was incredibly effective in streamlining the process of providing high-quality, in-hospital training for junior orthopedic trauma surgeons, residents, and general trauma surgeons,” Glaab explained. “The platform offered us access to a library of well-curated, relevant surgical training modules, enabling us to easily organize and deliver tailored educational sessions at times that worked best for our team, ensuring continuous, top-notch learning.”
