Managing Primary and Secondary Pediatric Midfacial Trauma
In this Expert Case discussion, Damir Matic, Mohamed Abdulazeem, Mohamed Amin, Amr Amin Ghanem and Amir Elbarbary are presenting webinar about management of primary and secondary pediatric midfacial trauma.
Key challenges in managing pediatric maxillary and orbital trauma are outlined, highlighting that facial growth is largely genetically determined and that the upper face and orbits have limited remodeling capacity. As a result, precise anatomic reduction at the time of injury is especially critical in younger children. It is further emphasizes that early, high-energy trauma poses the greatest risk for long-term growth disturbance, underscoring the importance of meticulous, age-appropriate surgical techniques, judicious use of hardware, and timely intervention—particularly in orbital emergencies—to ensure optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes as the child grows.

Advanced Craniomaxillofacial Surgery. Tumor, Corrective Bone Surgery and Trauma
Co-authored by Michael Ehrenfeld, Neal Futran, Paul N Manson and Joachim Prein.
Featuring more than 1,100 expertly drawn illustrations and images, the Advanced Craniomaxillofacial Surgery book is the comprehensive, highly anticipated follow-up to the original work on Principles of Internal Fixation of the Craniomaxillofacial Skeleton that was published in 2012.
With detailed contributions from more than 80 renowned international authors, Advanced Craniomaxillofacial Surgery significantly builds on the solid foundation laid by the previous textbook. The book comprises sophisticated techniques in skeletal and soft-tissue analysis for the disciplines of craniomaxillofacial, trauma, tumor, orthognathic surgery, as well as facial and esthetic surgery.
The advent of microvascular surgery, skeletal analysis, computerized surgical planning, personalized implant creation, and comprehensive radiographic analysis have given rise to new principles, techniques and possibilities, which are explored extensively in this new textbook. Advanced Craniomaxillofacial Surgery should be part of every surgeon's library.

Principles of Internal Fixation of the Craniomaxillofacial Skeleton – Trauma and Orthognathic Surgery
Co-authored by Joachim Prein, Michael Ehrenfeld, and Paul N Manson
The principles described in this textbook represent the evolution of craniomaxillofacial buttress reconstruction over the last 60 years. In addition to standard procedures, techniques representing recent surgical advances and new developments are introduced as well. This textbook not only provides an overview on current concepts of craniomaxillofacial trauma care and orthognathic surgery, but also helps to understand the complexity of the craniofacial skeleton and its related soft tissues for an efficient and successful reconstruction of the face following trauma and congenital deformities.
