AO CMF NA Course— The Comprehensive Management of Mandible Fractures (with human anatomical specimens)
Date: April 26 - 28, 2025

Evaluating and treating mandibular fractures, especially condyle injuries, can be extremely challenging, even for experienced surgeons. Complex mandibular anatomy, technical challenges with surgical access, dental occlusion and incomplete evidence-based guidance result in mandible fracture management being one of the most difficult areas of facial trauma. This 2.5-day course is intended to address each of these challenging factors through an immersive and hands-on learning program taught by experts that represent all the CMF specialties (oral and maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology, plastic, and reconstructive surgery, and oculoplastics).  Importantly, this course features a low participant to faculty ratio of 3:1.

AO CMF NA Course—Hot Topics in CMF Reconstruction (with human anatomical specimens)
Date: May 16 - 18, 2025

Reconstruction of complex facial defects require a wide range of advanced surgical techniques to restore normal facial form and function.  Traditionally, post-oncological and post-traumatic defects required procedures aimed at recruiting large volumes of distant tissue to augment or replace lost or retracted soft tissue.  Composite tissue transplantation is the most aggressive example of this paradigm.  More recently, sets of reconstructive procedures have been developed to provide the basis of craniomaxillofacial gender affirmation.

In this new two and a half-day comprehensive advanced-level course a combination of a hands-on human anatomical session (DAY 1); and didactic sessions with lectures, panel discussions, and interactive debates, will encompass the state-of-the-art reconstructive techniques to address these challenging problems (DAYS 2 & 3).  In short, the focus of this course will be to teach aesthetic and functional reconstruction of craniofacial hard and soft tissue, with an emphasis on the newest techniques, latest technologies, and hottest topics.
