AO CMF North America fellows portal

Your one-stop resource for everything related to AO CMF NA fellowships

Congratulations on your selection as an AO CMF North America Fellow for the 2023-2024 Academic Year. I hope this message finds you well, and your Fellowship is progressing smoothly, and you are having a challenging surgical case load and diversity.  Please allow me to use this letter as an introduction—my name is Dave Powers and I am the AO North America Fellowship Committee Director.  We will have multiple communications with you over the course of your Fellowship advising you of upcoming AO events, courses and learning opportunities.  One of these events is a monthly Online Seminar - of which the North America CMF Fellows will have an integral role to play.  Once every three months there will be a Case Presentation/Point-Counterpoint Webinar about specific CMF Trauma topics.  Each of you are expected to present something on one of these Webinars over the course of your 12-month Fellowship.  In the near future, the Chair of the Online Webinar will be reaching out to you for inclusion in one of these seminars.  Our goal is to have you present one of your actual cases from Fellowship or Residency and have an international audience weigh in on the various treatment options available for the management of these cases.  So please be on the lookout for an email from one of the identified Webinar Chairs—Drs. Dedhia, Pawar, Budden or Englestad—who will be working with you on these projects.

On a personal level, I am always available to answer any questions you have regarding the AO Fellowship, educational opportunities and involvement in the AO.  Again, welcome to the AO and I look forward to hopefully meeting each of you at a future AO event.
