ANNOUNCING THE 2024 AO VET NA RESIDENT RESEARCH AWARD WINNERS
AO North America was honored to present two awards at the recent ACVS Surgery Summit in Phoenix, AZ, a key event that highlights groundbreaking advancements in veterinary surgery and research.
The winning resident research abstracts are chosen based on their cross-disciplinary orthopedic relevance and embodiment of the “one medicine” spirit of AO VET North America, which brings together veterinary experts in the fields of trauma, craniomaxillofacial, spinal, and veterinary orthopedic surgery.
Gwladys Malek, DVM, MSc
Regan Stoneburner, DVM
The Large Animal Resident Research Award was proudly presented to Gwladys Malek, DVM, MSc from the University of Montreal for her innovative research titled "Corticosteroid Effects on Equine Osteoclasts in Vitro.”
The Small Animal Resident Research Award was awarded to Regan Stoneburner, DVM from Cornell University Hospital for Animals for her compelling study titled "MPR vs. CADS 3-D Measurements of Canine Radii.”
Both awardees were recognized not only for their exceptional scientific contributions but also for their commitment to pushing the boundaries of veterinary medicine, inspiring future generations of researchers.
