Global Oral Cancer Diploma celebrates its first graduates at FACE AHEAD 2026
Celebrating a milestone in global oral cancer education and a shared commitment to advancing patient care.
A special moment at FACE AHEAD 2026 in Bangkok marked an important milestone for the Global Oral Cancer Diploma. Graduates from the program's first two cohorts were celebrated in a ceremony that brought together the wider FACE AHEAD audience, international speakers, and AO CMF leadership to recognize their achievements and celebrate a shared commitment to advancing oral cancer care worldwide.
The ceremony, held on October 3, marked the culmination of ten months of dedicated learning and highlighted the program's mission to equip healthcare professionals with the knowledge, confidence, and multidisciplinary perspective needed to manage the complexities of oral cancer care.
A shared vision for better oral cancer care
Oral cancer remains a significant global health challenge, with substantial differences in access to specialized training and multidisciplinary expertise across regions.
To address this need, AO CMF and the International Academy of Oral Oncology (IAOO) joined forces to develop the Global Oral Cancer Diploma, with a shared vision: to make high-quality, evidence-based oral cancer education accessible to clinicians worldwide and ultimately contribute to better patient care.
Developed with contributions from more than 60 international experts, the ten-month online program covers the entire oral cancer patient journey—from prevention and early diagnosis to treatment planning, surgical management, rehabilitation, and follow-up.
Through interactive learning, expert-led discussions, and live case-based sessions, participants gain practical insights and exchange experiences with colleagues from different specialties and healthcare settings around the world.
Since its launch, the Global Oral Cancer Diploma has brought together 232 participants from 62 countries, with 161 graduates, reflecting its international reach and growing community of healthcare professionals.
Celebrating graduates, inspiring better care
The graduation was an opportunity to recognize the dedication and achievements of the Global Oral Cancer Diploma participants, while celebrating the program's broader mission to translate education into clinical practice and improve patient care.
As the Global Oral Cancer Diploma continues to grow, so does its international community of clinicians committed to improving oral cancer care.
It was a pleasure to welcome and celebrate our graduates at FACE AHEAD 2026 in Bangkok. We congratulate them on their achievements and look forward to staying connected with them through the AO CMF community and future educational opportunities.
