Call for applications: AO CMF Asia Pacific (AP) Board Chairperson
On behalf of the AO CMF Asia Pacific (AO CMF AP) Nomination Committee (NomCom), we are pleased to announce the call for application for AO CMF Asia Pacific Board Chairperson position.
Based on the AO CMF Terms of Reference, the three-year terms of office will be as follows:
July 1, 2026–June 30, 2029
AO CMF Asia Pacific (AP) seeks a highly motivated individual of international repute and excellent global scientific and clinical recognition. The successful applicant will lead the AO CMF Asia Pacific (AP) Board by overseeing and managing all board activities. The applicant needs to be able to work in a multicultural environment with no travel restrictions and is expected to have the vision to lead and contribute to AO CMF and to help us set new standards, positioning AO CMF as a global leader in craniomaxillofacial (CMF) surgery.
Applications must be submitted through the election page by 23:59 September 21, 2025 (HKT) (UTC +8). In addition, the Candidates are required to renew AO CMF membership by 23:59 September 21, 2025 (HKT) (UTC +8).

Electorate and votes
Based on the Terms of Reference, the electorate is selected by the following criteria:
- Voting members of the respective AO CMF Regional Board
- Active regional or international AO CMF Faculty with at least 5 years of AO teaching experience after Regional Board approval who have attended at least one Faculty Education Program
- Voting members of any AO CMF Global Commission (Community Development, Education, Research, TC)
- Candidates running for election have no voting right
- Each voting member has one (1) vote
Voting mechanism
First-past-the-post-by anonymous e-voting
- Multiple run-off electronic voting process
- If a candidate reaches an absolute majority in any round, they are the winner
- Another round is carried out as long as no candidate reaches an absolute majority
- The candidate with the least votes is eliminated at each round
- If a candidate runs for a second term, a qualified majority of votes (75% +1) is necessary
