AO Hospital Based Seminars

Advancing trusted learning programs for healthcare professionals

AO Hospital Based Seminars

Hospital Based Seminars (HBS) are interactive, case-based educational activities designed to bring high-quality learning directly to healthcare institutions. Developed by AO Latin America, these seminars combine pre-event preparation, real-world clinical cases, group discussions, and expert-led reviews to create an engaging and practical learning experience.

These free-of-charge seminars are structured around a focused 4-hour format, encouraging active participation, peer learning, and evidence-based decision-making in a collaborative environment. As AO Faculty (FEP trained only), you can easily access it online through the dashboard to efficiently organize training events at your workplace for your hospital surgical staff, on a date and time of your choice.

Key objectives

The HBS initiative aims to:

  • Deliver high-quality, case-based medical education
  • Support professional development within the AO community
  • Promote evidence-based clinical decision making
  • Foster collaboration among hospitals and healthcare professionals
  • Expand access to educational opportunities across the region
