Béla Demeter

AO Spine Hungarian Council Neurosurgery Officer

“As a neurosurgeon, I have a special interest in spine surgery, a complex surgical field. I’ve been trained to perform intradural microsurgical operations as well as instrumented surgeries for the whole spine regarding tumors, degenerative disease, and trauma. I was always interested in following the latest guidelines and applying the most recent methods and techniques. The AO Spine provides all the opportunities for everyone who wants to learn from experts and guides spine surgeons in helping patients with any spine disease. My aim is to spread this knowledge among our local next generation interested in spine surgery, to have the possibility of becoming an active spine surgeon trainer with the support of AO Spine.”

AO Spine thanks the previous Neurosurgery Officer Robert Veres for his valued commitment to strengthening the region.

Join us in giving Béla Demeter a warm welcome and wishing him all the best for his new position.
