Transition to LCP technology in teaching underscores AO VET’s commitment to improvement
Just as AO VET encourages its course participants to continuously look for ways to improve their clinical practices, AO VET itself constantly seeks to improve its educational offerings—including the equipment used in its courses.
With this goal in mind, the AO VET Education Commission (AO VEC) began to transition from teaching with dynamic compression plates (DCPs) and limited contact dynamic compression plates (LC-DCPs) to delivery of courses using locking compression plates (LCPs).
The move to LCPs allows AO VET to demonstrate the latest locking technology without compromising on many of the fracture repair principles that make the AO VET courses so popular. The transition will involve updating all faculty resources, including course programs, educational videos, and equipment in inventory.
