Spiral Blade, sterile, for UHN 6.7, length 32 mm, TAN
This new Spiral Blade is specifically designed for the 6.7 mm Universal Humeral Nail (UHN), which can be used for an antegrade insertion in the humeral shaft. In the antegrade procedure, proximal locking with the Spiral Blade ensures better fixation in osteoporotic bone. The new Spiral Blade is available in lengths from 32 48 mm.
The existing UHN/PHN instrumentation can be used.
a) A proximal spiral fracture of the humerus shaft with progression into the greater tubercle of humerus following a 74 - year- old womans fall at home. (Preoperative)
b) Treatment with UHN and a Spiral Blade. (Postoperative)
c) X-ray five months after surgery showing healed fracture.
