The Laminectomy Punch with reservoir is used in spinal surgery for anterior and posterior approaches. In laminectomy, the reservoir collects bony chips that do not have to be removed after each individual cut, which saves OR time. The reservoir is smoothly embedded within the up-biting tip design with an angle of 40 degrees. Clogging is precluded by a funnel-shaped design that allows for subsequent chip expansion and thus facilitates passage of the resected tissue.
The instrument is available in shaft lengths of 200 and 300 mm.
