Logo basics

Logo system
All AO logos are based on the globe and triangle as well as the AO wordmark (eg, AOSpine). All logos are produced by the AO (Communications & Events department) and will be sent to you on request. Never produce a logo yourself, only ever use the AO-produced originals. The color information as well as sample templates are part of the documentation. The clinical divisions have to decide themselves where to use their international, regional or country logos.
Logo construction
Globe height=font size; in the standard logo version (for A4/US Letter) the triangle height is 7 mm, font size 30 Pt, FormataBQ Medium The subline or byline (typically region or country for clinical division logos) is 1/3 of the globe height, and starts right below the triangle; in the standard A4 / US Letter version, the byline is font size 10 Pt, FormataBQ Light

The AO Foundation or AO Clinical Division logos and samples used throughout the following pages have been chosen for illustrative purposes only—the rules can be applied to other clinical divisions as well.
