21st Annual Spine Fellows Forum 2023

Abstract, poster, and presentation information

Abstract guidelines

Each fellow is asked to submit a written abstract on a research project they are working on in advance of the Fellows Forum. Each abstract will be judged and scored by the AO SNA Research Committee. The fellows with the top 10 abstract scores will be notified and asked to present their abstract as a 7-minute podium presentation as part of the program.

Requirements

The text of the abstract should be no longer than 3,500-character spaces including letters, space and punctuation marks. Images do not count but should be kept to a maximum of 2-3. Please note whether it is considered basic science or clinical research.

Full abstract and poster guidelines can be found here.

More information on the Cadmium platform and how to submit your abstract.

Submit abstracts by February 8th, 2023

Poster guidelines

Each fellow is asked to submit their research project as a paper poster.  Each poster will be judged and scored by the faculty and fellowship directors during the first day of the program.  The fellows with the top 10 posters will be asked to give a 7-minute presentation on their work during the Saturday morning session of the program.

If you do not have your poster ready and submitted by February 27th, you will have to print at your own expense and bring it with you to the forum.

At the conclusion of the forum, awards will be given for the top basic science and clinical abstract/podium presentations and the top poster/podium presentation.

Abstracts and posters will be judged and scored based on scientific merit, clinical merit, quality, and content.

Full abstract and poster guidelines can be found here.

We provide printing and shipping for posters submitted by February 27, 2023

X-Ray Conference

We will have two fireside discussions at this event, which will provide an excellent opportunity for dialogue on real cases.

Each fellow should bring at least two cases on a memory stick:

  • One great success
  • One memorable failure
