Clinical Evidence research
The AO Innovation Translation Center (AO ITC) conducts in-house clinical research with the goal to improve outcomes and patient care. Through the diverse experience brought together by the AO network surgeons across different orthopedic areas, the Clinical Operations and Clinical Science units turn ideas into clinical evidence.
Clinical Evidence launches CSAC
The new AO ITC Clinical Science Advisory Commission (CSAC) met for the first time in June 2021. The CSAC provides strategic advice around clinical science related to the AO ITC’s work.
Publications
The Clinical Science unit provides medical, statistical, and medical literature and writing support for internal and external clients. The resulting peer-reviewed publications are an integral part of Clinical Evidence that serves the orthopedics community.
Ongoing studies
The Clinical Operations unit conducts clinical studies according to the current regulatory and ethics standards. With a team of clinical research specialists, we deliver high quality data, which are the foundation of our publications. In 2021, the Clinical Operations unit ran 45 studies in 40 countries.
