Here are just a few highlights to look forward to from our clinical divisions and initiatives at the Davos Courses 2016:

  • AOTrauma is extending the amount of time spent in the anatomical specimens laboratory, and two new innovative, master-level Current Concept Courses (CCC), which follow an ambitious conceptual format, will be presented: Hand and Wrist and Complications.
  • AOVET participants will benefit from a special focus course on Orthopedic Injuries and Problems of the Growing Animal. This course is designed to hone one’s skills on unique cases using top techniques—and is being offered exclusively at the Davos Courses.
  • AOCMF is offering three completely new advanced level courses for more experienced surgeons at this year’s courses: Challenges and Controversies in Facial Trauma, Challenges and Controversies in Oncology and Reconstruction, and Challenges and Controversies in Orthognathic Surgery.
  • The AOSpine Master’s Level format creates a unique setting for an open exchange of knowledge and experiences. This year, a special “The Three Wise Men: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly—a Case That Changed My Practice" session will provide tips, tricks, and insights from challenging and unique cases. Participants can personalize their spine program by selecting from five module topics.
  • AONeuro is offering a Neurotrauma course that will include for the very first time a 3-D anatomical principles lecture, which presents a unique way of teaching anatomy. The practical exercises have also been extended to include posterior fossa decompression and placement of an intraventricular catheter/ICP bolt, and a free cranioplasty webinar is also being held.
  • AORecon will present its Principles of Total Hip and Knee Arthroplasty course, which teaches fundamental principles and current concepts in the treatment of patients with a need for primary or revision arthroplasty in the hip and knee.
