14. July 2015
Registration is now open for the Davos Courses 2015, the AO Foundation's flagship education event.
Take advantage of this excellent opportunity to learn from our international faculty, share your experiences, reconnect with friends and colleagues, and further expand your network. Davos is where tradition goes hand-in-hand with cutting-edge knowledge in the fields of trauma, spine, craniomaxillofacial and veterinary surgery.
What’s new in 2015 in AOTrauma:
A range of courses which include practical exercises in anatomical labs are on offer; the time for these valuable exercises has now been extended to a half day.
Innovations: Masters Course—Current Concepts
Two new CCCs have been developed and will be available for the first time at the Davos Courses 2015.
Through the Eyes of a Master
Twelve of the most experienced AOTrauma masters-level surgeons will take participants on a “mini-fellowship”. Each instructor will present a difficult trauma scenario that requires in-depth investigation, planning, operative intervention, and rehabilitation.
This new, interdisciplinary course approaches the dimensions of periprosthetic fractures, fragility fractures, and osteoporosis. A focus is placed on small-group work and discussions.
Longer lunch break
All courses are scheduled to have a two hour lunch break with an improved variety of food on offer.
Expanded AO Spirit events
Following the great success of the newly-introduced AO Spirit events in 2014, we are pleased to announce that these academic, cultural, social and sporting side events are offered again in 2015! The programs will take place between the end of the academic day and dinner as well as during the lunch break.
There will be multiple opportunities for networking after the courses every day.
During the two Davos Courses weeks, AOTrauma will be offering 13 courses; details can be found by selecting the AOTrauma courses menu on Davos Courses 2015 pages.
Following the success of last year's event, AOSpine is offering a fully interactive, case based program. You will find details on the AOSpine courses pages of the Davos Courses 2015.
Participants are able to design their own personal course program by selecting four, day-long, educational modules from a wide selection of topics.
A faculty team of 61 leading spine experts have been preparing for almost a year in order to deliver an extraordinary learning experience in Davos. Attending the Davos Courses is an excellent opportunity to interact with these world-renowned experts as they share and discuss their most up-to-date information and experiences in the field of spine surgery.
The AOSpine Davos Courses will in 2015 be moving into more spacious teaching rooms, generating a more enriched learning experience and even more interaction.
