AO Start-up grants
Maximum amount of CHF 60,000 per year and a duration limit of two years.
This grant category is designed to encourage individual researchers and research groups to develop unconventional, novel projects and to expand in a wide range of research fields within the general areas of interest of the AO Foundation.
Deadline for AO Start-up grant applications: July 15, 2012
The decisions will be communicated approximately 6 months after the deadline.

What you need to know
All grant applications will be peer reviewed by at least three world known experts. Unfortunately, we can only select a limited number of studies as we are unable to fund all projects we receive. Please be informed that the rejection rate is between 85% and 90%
