AO Courses for Students

For more than 30 years the Association for the study of Osteosynthesis (AO) has organized annual two-day courses for undergraduate students with the aim to provide insight into the techniques of surgical fracture treatment. The presentations and workshops will provide a basic understanding of the principles of fracture management and fixation. In the popular "hands-on" part, the participants will gain first hand practical experience with implants, screws and nails using artificial bone material. In addition the course will provide insight in current research projects related to the regeneration of the musculoskeletal system in general.
The courses are organized by the AO Research Institute Davos and are supported by the AO Foundation, AO Switzerland, Science City Davos, Synthes, and Davos Klosters Mountains.
