AO Fellowship programs

AO Foundation offers several Fellowship programs in different areas for surgeons from all around the world. Please follow the links below for more information about the Fellowship you are interested in.

AOTrauma

AOTrauma​ offers about 200 fellowships for surgeons and 15 Fellowships for ORP every year. These Fellowships provide additional experience in AO techniques for fully trained orthopedic or general surgeons and ORP with an interest in trauma.


AOCMF

The AOCMF community supports between 25–30 fellowships a year to provide additional experience in AO techniques for fully trained CMF surgeons with an interest in trauma.


AOSpine

AOSpine Fellowships​ provide budding spine surgeons with the opportunity to work in some of the world's top spine centers and learn from the best in the field. Please note that AOSpine membership is a prerequisite.


ARI

Medical Research Fellowships at the AO Research Institute Davos provide motivated surgeons with on-site research training to gain experience in R&D projects which focus on relevant clinical problems.


AO CID

A programme of AO Clinical Investigation and Documentation to allow young motivated surgeons to get trained and gain experience in clinical research


AO SEC

AO SEC offers Fellowships for Surgeons and ORP in well established trauma care hospitals in their particular geographical region. Sometimes the offer includes also an AO SEC educational event within this training time frame. These fellowships provide great learning opportunities and introduction to the wider AO community.
